We made reservations for the evening of December 23rd. The meals were all fantastic!
The Hotel Allegro is a half block from 312 Chicago and offers valet parking. It's ideal for dining there and seeing a show at the Cadillac Palace.
Shouldn't be a problem. There were a few babies there the last time my wife and I stopped in.
Worst cystomer service. Once we paid the bill we asked for coffee and we were not served anymore after only 2 cups, the waiters/waitress started to clean the table while we were still sitting. The waitresses are starring at you when they pass in front of you and you can hear them talking in your back. About the dishes , mine was good but my girl's Turkey was awefull, without any taste and undercooked, she fell sick because of her dish. The menu is pretty expensive too if your student or uneployed expect at least 15$ per person (prices starting around 10$ for a meal)
Great diner food in the loop! It's a Greek diner so plenty of Greek food but also delicious fluffy buttermilk pancakes all day long! I've been a few times and I've never had to wait to be seated either. The seating is comfortable and the menu prices are reasonable. Wilk definitely go again.
High recommendation for the Greek gyros benedict! Yum!
The food is your typical Greek restaurant food that's pretty good the service... Let's just say if you end up here as a waitress I guess I can't expect the whole lot from you
They have the best flautas ever and the crepas too 😍😍💖💖
Decent-priced, delicious food and very quick service. You can be seated, finished with your meal, and have your meal paid within twenty minutes without feeling rushed. Even at lunchtime. Plus it's right across the street from the Cadillac Palace Theatre!
Petros will always have me as a customer. It's the only place that can make liver and onions taste like a gourmet delicacy. The staff are friendly and attentive. I have been a proud customer for 27 years.
Great place to come for a get away lunch! I was not disappointed! The soup was fantastic!
Decently priced food for the loop. Food comes out super quick. And it's always tasty.
Great affordable diner with the best service ever. Alicia makes you feel like the most important guest in the world! Had a club sandwich and awesome fresh crinkle cut fries for a travel lunch near my hotel and came back for the bacon butterscotch pancakes for breakfast. Right mix of salty and sweet on the pancakes, they were delicious!
Have had better but not too bad either
Good food and nice service
Tasty, quick food and friendly servers and owners.
Decent place. Food was good and very reasonably priced. The only thing that bothered me was their sriracha wasn't really sriracha. Color and flavor were off. But I'd go back with my own bottle.
The food is good and consistent each day that I go there. I have been going there for over 15 years and I can rely on what I am ordering is what I am receiving.
Nice local place for high level political meetings, while enjoying a delicious meal ,working lunches ...great tax write off...ask to sit in Laura's section for v.i.p. treatment
A good local diner with tons of Chicago mythology. Awesome location - a good place before or after the theater.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Wonderful waitress Alicia great food
Good food, friendly staff. Went for breakfast, great advice.
The waitress Alicia is awesome. She's always happy and very friendly. She just makes your day. Stop in and ask for Alicia.
Perfect breakfast options in an All American diner atmosphere. Friendly service, especially by Alicia. Food was filling, coffee was hot and refilled as needed. Definitely recommend for out of town visitors and locals.
Definitely the best diner downtown, even though the service can be hit or miss. Alicia in the morning is the brightest ball of genuine energy you'll even meet at that hour. She'll make even the worst morning a little better.
Good menu, salads are exceptionally well done.
Great place for a quick bite to eat! Friendly service good quantities of food also the food was amazing! It has a great environment. Also it's close to the metra station!!
The best diner downtown! Go on a Friday morning and you'll have the most genuinely happy waitress you've ever had the pleasure to be served by.
Fast. Friendly. Across street from Cadillac Palace theatre.
My daughter called me as they brought out her meal for the third time. The first TWO times they got it backwards. Smh... then she was given a different price than what was on the menu. If you planned for an hour lunch make sure that you have more time because these people don't get it right the first two times. Food wasn't good. Not going back.
Overpriced, not good. Glass of water that was placed on my table had what appeared to be carmax or lip gloss on the rim.
Weird weird weird. 1970s decor and out of things like 'rice' and 'carrots'. Spanish eggs were good, but the whole thing is just wrong. Do not recommend.
Classic "industry" spot, in this case state employees in the loop. No surprises, timeless Greek diner vibe.
It was raining and windy. We were hungry and by that time most places had stop serving breakfast (11.00am) but we wanted breakfast , too early for lunch for us so we decided to go the nearest place near our hotel which was still opened for breakfast. Our Server was very warm, kind and nice completely opposite of the weather outside. However, there is very little I can say about the food. please remember we were super hungry, when the food came we jumped on it but as soon as the first fork full of food entered our mouth, you could see the disappointment on our faces. The fried chicken was too dry as if it was lefrover from last night, warmed up and served to us. the menu said the eggs Benedict came with bacon and ham in it but there was no bacon at all. the French toast grill chicken sandwich was slightly better then the rest 2 mentioned earlier however the fries it came along with had no seasoning at all.
Alicia was our waitress and was fabulous! The food was great, my omelette was huge, but Alicia made the visit so enjoyable! Definitely a good place to visit
met a politician in there, nice and cozy plus their food is actually pretty good
Liver and Onions, nice cozy restaurant diner and family restaurant type of atmosphere.
The chorizo omelette and homemade salsa was excellent!
Great food Had the taco salad. Usually have the chicken a simply the best fried chicken Know their is going to be a 25 minute wait but well worth it
Great for classic American fare. Will get you in and out swiftly during your lunch hour.
It's a clean dinner in the loop. Nice place to have around the office. As for the food, it's a hit or miss on what you choose. Some items are spot on and others are about what'd you expect in a okay dinner.
Great restaurant with many options all prepared by chef Tony.
ok lunch place. I wish they had outside sitting...The tomato soup was ok and GF.
Great food but my waitress, Alicia was simply amazing! Such a lovely personality. Visiting Chicago from Houston and this was great hospitality.
The waitress did a good job. But yeah it is somewhat understaffed. Place looks dated but it's clean. Giving it a 3 stars cause the food was just boring. It wasn't bad but it wasn't exciting either. Every thing was just normal. Prices range from 10 to 15 dollars.
Downtown Staple - When you have a taste for home cooked comfort food, this is the go to in the area. Typically affordable compared to other restaurant prices in the downtown area but the prices have increased over the years. Great service, great food.
Fast service food great
They charged over $11 for a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and when I got back to my office with the sandwich I discovered they didn't add bacon. It's nice to have a diner in downtown Chicago but the prices are too much.
6 a.m. breakfast food and service was excellent. The ham was tasty and moist.
Close to my work so convenient for me to get to. Food is decent and the service is good. The menu items are your typical diner items but nothing has yet to blow me away in term of taste. But bottom line is this....I love that I have somewhere to go in the loop if I'm ever craving a classic breakfast.
Great place for lunch the fried chicken is the best in thrbloop. If you want breakfast they serve all day The pancakes are very good I usually have the taco salad but the beef sandwich and gyros are alro very good. YOU can have adrink as well as qlas sit down to use wifi. A neighborhood kind of place were you can hang
Great food, prepared quickly and reasonable prices.
